Hi there! Happy first day of spring, everyone! Okay, so in Canada, it pretty much looks and feels the same, but that's okay. Due to the change in weather during this time of year, no matter how slow, we (obviously) change our attire and while out (window) shopping this season, there are plenty of pieces that just get me so excited for spring.

Here are a few of those pieces, but all under $20 so you can still indulge in a bit of spring fun, no matter your budget.

Bright and clean-coloured tops always manage to get me in the mood for spring. I'm a fan of a clean graphic like this black and white checked top, the fun yellow graphic tee, this simple white and light knit crop sweater, and finally, colourful pastel donuts. I mean, who can resist that?

1. Forever 21 Retro Grid Crop Top
2. ModCloth Butter When Balanced Tee
3. H&M White Light Knit Crop Sweater
4. Brandy Melville Carolina Donuts Top

It's really hard to wear dresses and skirts in the winter, especially when you have to wait out in the cold for your bus to come. However, once the weather warms up, I, along with many others, seize this as an opportunity to welcome dresses and skirts more warmly into our lives.

Spring dresses are all about being lightweight and airy, so I picked out some dresses that would look amazing even with a little wind. I decided on a peach colourblock one with subtle cutouts at the waist, a simple white skater dress that is the perfect foundation for many outfits, a blue patterned t-shirt dress, and pretty and more formal lilac high-low dress with delicate lace on the chest.

As for skirts, I went for a black floral skirt that would act as a great transition piece from the winter to spring, a simple blue speckled skirt that sits comfortably above the hips, and a black daisy maxi dress.

1. Tobi Diamond Cutout Dress
2. H&M White Skater Dress
3. New Look Blue Floral Stripe Burnout Dress
4. Tobi Up and Around High Low Dress
5. K-Styleme Genzio Skirt
6. Topshop Blue Speckle Skirt
7. Charlotte Russe High-Waisted Daisy Maxi Skirt

As much as I love boots, I can't wait to be able to slip into some sneakers, flats, sandals, and heels soon. These tan leather-like sneakers would be a great addition to any outfit, and once it gets warmer, these clear glitter jelly sandals could add a little bit of cheeky girliness to anything, same goes for the aqua blue sandals. Finally, for a little pop of pink, because who doesn't like pink in spring, I picked out these powder pink loafers for a preppy feel.

1. Forever 21 Street-Chic Plimsolls
2. Cooperative Heeled Jelly Sandal
3. ShopSosie Kora Strap Sandal
4. H&M Powder Pink Loafers

Continuing with the pink trend, I picked out some dainty gold and baby pink drop earrings, a beautiful dainty headband with embellishments all over, a dreamcatcher necklace that certainly gets us all in the mood for Coachella and the bohemian and folksy eye candy that comes from it, a pretty pink headwrap, and finally, some ruffle socks that add a bit of playfulness to oxfords and other flats. You could even add them to heels!

1. ASOS Sun Burst Earrings
2. Topshop Diamante Headband
3. Wetseal Dream Catcher Feather Necklace
4. ASOS Pastel Pink Headwrap
5. Kimchi Blue Pastel Ruffle Socks (3)
