5 Things to Get Excited For: February

Hi there! Today, I’d like to introduce you to yet another new series that’s going to start here on Style Generis called “5 Things to Get Excited For” and is rather self-explanatory. It’s kind of like my take on the “What to Know for Monday” posts that I’ve seen in my feed every once in a while.

Most of the time when I’m not in a huge rush or something to get out the door in the morning, I’ll take a moment to make a mental list of things to be excited for before getting out of bed. It gives me a bit of motivation to get my day going and to start my day off in high spirits.

I haven’t had the chance to do this often enough lately because I have always been in a rush to get out of the house, but I think it’s really important to, you know, be happy, so I’m slowly trying to bring it back into my life and introduce it to you, as well.

1. Fashion-themed Castle on the 3^rd

I do realise that I’ve spoken about this episode before, but it turns out, Castle decided to take a break for about two weeks, so the episode was pushed back to the 3^rd and the 9^th for Canadians. I’m still super excited to watch the episode next Sunday (why do we have to wait so long) and see how the show pokes fun at the cutthroat fashion industry. Pun intended, I think.

2. Peter Pilotto for Target on the 9th

It’s pretty much old news now that Peter Pilotto is coming to Target, but that collection is going to be in stores this Sunday!!! From the photos released of all the pieces, it just looks like such an amazing collection, even though some of the things I really want to get are a bit out of my budget (unfortunately, I just can’t justify paying $80 for pretty dress right now). Nonetheless, I will still be at Target bright and early Sunday morning to get a peek at the collection, hopefully this time, it’ll be before the other fashion-obsessed buy my size and leave me with the XL in the uglier colour.

3. New Series on SG starting on the 13th

I'm not going to say much about it, but I think this tweet will make it blantantly obvious.

4. Valentine’s Day on the 14^th

The 14^th will be a super fun day to just celebrate love, whether you’re single and hanging out with your girlfriends or maybe you have a special someone to share the day with. I’ll be having a lovely Pathetic Single Girls Party with my girlfriends and it’s going to be pretty awesome.

5. Endless Love on the 14th

I saw the trailer for this movie when we were out at the theatres to see Catching Fire. It seems like one of those movies that could either be really good or really bad and though it seems likely that it'll be the latter, I'd still love to go catch this movie. Here's a quick bit of what it's about from the film's official site.

Endless Love stars Alex Pettyfer (Magic Mike) and Gabriella Wilde (The Three Musketeers) in the story of  a privileged girl and a charismatic boy whose instant desire sparks a love affair made only more reckless by parents trying to keep them apart.

It sounds cheesy and all, but there's something about the characters names - Alex plays David Elliot and Gabriella plays Jade Butterfield, I mean, Butterfield - that makes me really want to go see it.
